Brandi Henderson's The Pantry, a beautiful, wood-crafted, book-bedecked kitchen & dinner space, hosts up to 14 events a week, with the best teachers in the land coming in for classes on everything from curing salmon to becoming a pie ninja. Their website manages to promote those 700+ events a year, and process all that revenue, within just a few days, built on a custom-fit and almost one-of-a-kind Content Management System. The good folks at the Pantry were gracious enough to come to us for help with the design and building of their entire brand, from soup-to-nutes, from letter-pressed gift certificates to photo shoots to fancy little stamps, our sweet, hand-painted sign always pointing your way inside.

Each run of gift certificates is letterpress-printed and packaged like a golden ticket from the chocolate factory, just enough of an impression from the type on the great cover stock to feel like a special little treasure.

Despite it's deceptively simple and sweet look, the Pantry's website has a powerful, custom-built platform capable of processing an entire year of revenue in just a few (big) days of sales, with near Ticketmaster-levels of page-views, interactions, and transactions occurring in-site, along with a fancy event calendar, wait-lists for events, and gift certificate forms that get you one of those fine little letter-pressed certificates in the mail.

All events on the calendar have their own lightbox allowing you to add your name to a special wait-list, in the likely event that the event is sold-out, or allowing you to choose your day and time and add it to your cart along with all of your other events.

Almost employee now has stood before a Hasselblad for their official photo (typically of their hands) and debut on a line of business cards all featuring those gorgeous, colorful photos and a reverse side that's as discursive, friendly – and direct – as the staff themselves.

A fun side-project with the Pantry was the launch of the Seattle Meat Collective website, a one-page everything-you-need-to-know presence piece highlighting their upcoming events and the background of the founders in a style we think of as almost sorta reminiscent of an old Butcher's...mimeographed poster just returned from the press.
